Dear Friends,
British theologian John Stott said it well: "Christ is the center of all Christianity; all else is circumference."
You wouldn't know it by looking at much of evangelical culture today. Pop-eschatology dominates the bestseller charts. Self-help seminars have become so self-centered that the lordship of Jesus gets buried in the advice. And resources proclaiming the vital truth that "God was in Christ" barely have a pulse in the marketplace.
Yet, in the midst of a world overrun with evil and overwhelmed by competing truth claims, people everywhere continue to ask, "What is God really like?" The answer is found in the Incarnation: God is like Jesus. Simply put, if we want to more deeply know the Creator, we need to take a much harder look at the Savior.
Christus Nexus was established on this truth. And everything we do seeks to build upon it. Whether conducting seminars or authoring resources, we are fueled by the conviction that seeing the reality, richness, and relevance of the Incarnation is essential to fully honoring Christ.
Life on this planet is short. Soon we will meet Jesus face to face. And I promise you this: none of us will extend a hand and tell him it's nice to finally put a face with the name! We'll fall at his feet and worship.
Now is the time to prepare ourselves—and others—for that day. I invite you to explore our website and consider how we can work together to restore the centrality of the Incarnation in evangelical culture and proclaim the uniqueness of Christ to a pluralistic world.
Until that day,
